Thank You for Your Interest in LIFT’s Volunteer Program!
LIFT volunteers make a tremendous difference in the lives of needy families in our community. Volunteers teach adult students how to speak English and empower people to learn the skills necessary to get a new or better job.
Give the future a great outlook for adult, non-native English speaking students by teaching one of LIFT’s many ESL classes. These classes mean the world to immigrants looking to become active, supportive members of our community.
All classes are taught in English, with training and materials provided. LIFT staff will also provide support and additional resources for volunteer classroom teachers and tutors. Classes focus on conversational skills and practical, everyday knowledge. ESL volunteers will inspire students to work hard and excel at learning English.
Classes offered at the University of St. Thomas, Malloy Hall (Basement).
